Lizzie Hoath is part of The Home Inspection Hub’s friendly Sales team. Lizzie has been with the company since 2018 and is known for her vibrant and bubbly personality! During our chat, we explore why inspection reports are essential, what the usual process is when booking with us and a little more about what Lizzie does throughout her day.

Tell us a little about yourself and your role at The Home Inspection Hub (what you do day-to-day)

I have worked in administrative roles for close to 15 years and love the variety being an administrator can bring; filing and organising is one of my favourite things. I am a mum of two young children (8 and 4.5 years old) and I enjoy being involved in the committees at kinder and school. If I’m not at work or with the family, I am at the gym which has become a huge part of my life as I enjoy seeing how far I can push myself physically and mentally.

At the Home Inspection Hub, I am one of the first points of call when the phone rings or a new quote is received via email. Additionally, I process bookings and work with our clients and inspectors to provide a streamline and stress-free experience. I also work closely with the accounts department with debt collection resolution.

Why do you think inspection reports are essential?

Buying or building a home is your biggest lifetime investment and as such, you want to make sure what you get is what you pay for. In terms of buying a new home, we can provide a thorough Pre-Purchase inspection report of up to 250 items.

When you are building a new home, we can provide an inspection report at each of the main stages, beginning at your base all the way through to your final inspection. We ensure that your build is compliant with the Australian Standards. You’ll receive a photographic record, highlighting the workmanship of the construction throughout the build; this means that any defects or issues can be discovered early by our inspectors. You can be sure that if your Inspector finds poor workmanship at a specific inspection stage, they will assess it again at the next stage to see that it has been corrected.

What is the process when booking an inspection?

Our process is quite simple, we need a handful of information to provide you a quote. If you can have the key information including the address and/or the build size when you phone our office, we will be able to get the ball rolling for you. You can also visit our online quote page on our website and submit and enquiry there. The booking itself can be processed quickly over the phone and we will then allocate it to one of our Inspectors. The Inspector will then coordinate a time with either the agent or site supervisor and they will notify you once it is all locked in. After the inspection is complete, the Inspector can provide you with a verbal summary and a report is prepared and emailed to you.
